Conference experience. The First Presidency and the Spiritual Formation Team
have collaborated on the following list of spiritual-formation sessions for

God’s guidance for the needs of the church.

provided in the four locations indicated. If you missed this part of
registration, return to the Auditorium first floor, east side, to make your

Discussion and Information Sessions
The goal of deliberation and decision-making at World Conference is to allow
the church to speak prophetically, to organize, and to address legislation
in a way consistent with our beliefs and rules. Discussion and information
sessions are available as avenues of deliberation for World Conference
delegates and attendees. <http://www.cofchrist.org/wc2010/discussions.asp>

Extreme Makeover Service Project:

As with past World Conference service projects, (like the Habitat for
Humanity build in 2007) the Makeover Project invites volunteers from all
over Community of Christ to come be a part of something special during
Conference week. Volunteers will have the opportunity to paint, landscape,
build, clean and so much more, as we transform the Boys and Girls Club into
a place where kids can thrive. This story will not be complete without
volunteers with a servant's heart from every skill level who want to make a
difference in someone's life.

The Extreme Makeover Project has a second and very exciting element that
promises to be of great value to individuals, congregations and
congregational outreach teams who are looking for ways to reach out to their
communities once the project is over and they have returned home. The Boys
and Girls Club will have representatives on site at various times during the
week to help members of Community of Christ make connections to Boys and
Girls Clubs all over the United States.

You are invited to help write the ending to this story. Your willingness
to volunteer during conference week will put your fingerprints on a great
chapter in the ongoing relationship with the Boys and Girls Club and
Community of Christ. Come share in the project and be prepared to return to
your community with the tools necessary to make a difference where you live.

If you would like to find out more about this project or have specific
questions you are encouraged to contact the project manager

WORSHIP:

Communion Service and Dietary Restrictions

At the Sunday-morning Communion service, those with dietary restrictions
involving bread or wine should sit in the first row of section D or E, by
the rostrum (front and center). Water will replace the grape juice, and
we’ll use gluten-free bread. If you are able, contact Donna Spicer at
dmspicer52 at yahoo.com or (816) 591-8353 before the service regarding your
need. Otherwise, go to these reserved seats before the Communion service.
Someone near the rostrum will help you locate these seats.

Morning Meditation

Sunday morning from 8:00 to 9:30 in the Temple Sanctuary, David Brock will
lead moments of meditation, music, prayer, confession, and silence, focusing
on “Finding Beauty in Our Brokenness” in preparation for the Communion
service at 10:00 in the Conference Chamber. Please plan to spend at least 15
minutes in the Temple Sanctuary before the Communion service. The ringing of
a chime will mark each quarter hour of meditation, but worshipers may come
and go as they wish throughout the 90 minutes.
